College to Corporate (Part 1)

2nd of April 2018 was the day when I received my first offer letter. It was 1 p.m. in the afternoon I just had my lunch at the hostel mess. My room was on fourth floor, so I took the elevator and directly went to my room.

Exactly at 1:08 p.m. a new mail notification was there on my phone. Every feeling of this world was there on my face at that time. I just closed my door and read the letter at one go.

What is the most important detail you will ever find on an offer letter? I know there will be a mix of answers. But for me its CTC not because of money. It’s because CTC is the answer to a lot of questions which Indian society asks for.

Have you ever thought how fascinating the word CTC is? You can get judged by your appearance, communicating style, dressing sense etc. but all these things can be changed with this cute word. It can be both negative and positive.

It’s been 3 years to this story, and I have received many offer letters, but this cute word still amazes me.
